Soup's On (and Lasagne, and Enchiladas, and Runzas)

The menu helped keep us on task.  We had a lot of fun visiting while we put together the dishes.  One recommendation from our experience:  it may make sense to cook the meats ahead when you can.  That was a real time saver.

Emily, Cicely, and Mom peeling apples from Emily's tree for fruit crisps.  We used a Pampered Chef Peeler Corer Slicer which does all of the task its name implies.  It is insurance that I will have a helper to prep apples when it is time to make pie.  Worth its weight in gold.

Cicely takes a break from peeling apples.

We had a really nice day and now I have a freezer full of meals.  Everybody took a meal size portion of each dish home.  We stayed pretty traditional on the culinary fair. We decided our next go round would be with new and more adventurous recipes.
