Ghost in the Machine

Another two party week.  One of the parties this week will be a Ghost Story Party for kids.  I made some ghosts for the hooks on my ceiling, inspired by The Martha.  She recommends making her ghosts out of cheesecloth and I have made this version before.  This time I opted for the cheapest, thinnest muslin.  I wasn't sure it could be done but they turned out just fine.  First cut small squares of cloth and spray on both sides with a heavy duty spray starch.  I made 24 ghosts out of 3 yards of fabric.

The Martha recommends using paper towel tubes as molds but I do not buy paper towels.  I trolled the recycle bin and found some good bottles.  Fill them with water so they don't tip on you.  I made a head out of an aluminum foil ball and added arms on some by wrapping some craft wire around the bottle neck.  I ended up doing three coats of spray on the creatures.

Let the haunting begin.
