One down fifty one to go!

The first party is complete and I totally and forgot to take picture. I enjoyed myself very much but did not document the process. Thank goodness for Yvonne. She has sent me two pictures that I will pass along:

The Champagne punch turned out very well. I wish I had a photograph but you will just have to picture it in your head.
Champagne Punch:
3 bottles of champagne, chilled
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
1 cup simple syrup (boil 1 cup water with 1 cup sugar to dissolve and cool)
1/2 gallon cranberry juice
3 cups blueberries, frozen
3 cups raspberries, frozen
3 nectarines thinly slices, frozen
Put it all in a punch bowl and stir. Yum

The timeline was a lot of fun. People told stories I had forgotten about. And my sister helped me check the Katy quizzes with a red felt tip pen (oh teachers). Tony got a 10/10 but was not present to win the grand prize: squirrel underpants. Yvonne came in second with 8/10 and took home the prize. I should mention that Amanda also got 10/10 but nobly passed on the prize.
I have a chalkboard as one of the walls in my bathroom. I asked for party suggestions. My favorite, from my friend Tony, was "I just had 51 effing parties so this one is a potluck beyootches." Hard to top. The suggestions got more colorful as the night went on. As I mentioned, I had a very good time. There are people I wish I would have talked to more. I wonder if my social skills will also improve during this process. The big fail was the pictures. So here is your job: if you come to one of my parties, make sure I am taking pictures.
