The Diabolic Bunnies Party was originally going to be paired with my other Easter Party, set up as a point/counterpoint if you will. This will also be a two party week. Aside from the Diabolic Bunnies I will also be doing an Italian Family Style Dinner Party this weekend. First the bunnies. Turns out there are many subversive rabbits out there. This party was originally envisioned as a Wii Raving Rabbids party for a couple of my friends but there are so many more evil hares out there to tip our hats to:
Life In Hell is, of course, Simpson creator Matt Groening's truly diabolic (now defunct) comic strip featuring the unfortunate one-eared rabbit Binky. Donnie Darko also has some nice evil rabbit imagery so you could pair this party with a movie versus video games. I also think Hugh Hefner may have done something to give bunnies a dubious reputation. But that would be a very different party altogether.
